TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Introduction

Welcome to WozaWork. WozaWork is an online digital marketplace that connects independent workers, casual labour providers, domestic workers, tradespersons, and service providers with individuals or businesses seeking assistance.

By registering, browsing, purchasing credits, posting jobs, or using the platform in any way, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Nature of the Platform

WozaWork acts solely as an intermediary technology and marketing platform.

WozaWork:

  • does not employ workers listed on the platform;
  • does not guarantee work opportunities;
  • does not guarantee users will obtain workers;
  • does not supervise work performed;
  • is not a labour broker, temporary employment service, or recruitment agency unless expressly stated otherwise in writing;
  • is not a party to agreements between users.

All hiring, engagements, casual work, service contracts, and payment arrangements are strictly between users.

3. User Eligibility

Users must:

  • be at least 18 years old;
  • provide truthful information;
  • use the platform lawfully;
  • have legal capacity to enter agreements.

WozaWork may suspend or remove users at its discretion.

4. Worker Profiles

Workers may create profiles including:

  • name
  • photo
  • location
  • skills
  • rates
  • availability
  • reviews
  • verification information

Workers are solely responsible for profile accuracy. WozaWork does not guarantee skills, conduct, suitability, qualifications, identity, or availability.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • screening workers;
  • verifying identity;
  • checking references;
  • agreeing scope of work;
  • ensuring safe working conditions;
  • complying with employment and tax laws where applicable;
  • making lawful payments.

6. Fees / Credits / Payments

Payments made to WozaWork are solely for:

  • platform access
  • listing visibility
  • advertising
  • promotional placement
  • credits
  • lead generation
  • software functionality

Such payments are not wages, employment deposits, or guarantees of work. Credits may be non-refundable once used, except where required by law. WozaWork may change pricing with notice.

7. No Employment Relationship

Use of WozaWork does not create:

  • employment with WozaWork;
  • worker benefits from WozaWork;
  • UIF obligations by WozaWork;
  • pension rights from WozaWork;
  • leave rights from WozaWork;
  • guaranteed income from WozaWork.

Any employment relationship exists only between the hiring party and the worker, if at all.

8. User Conduct

Users may not:

  • submit false information;
  • impersonate others;
  • discriminate unlawfully;
  • harass users;
  • scam users;
  • request illegal work;
  • post offensive content;
  • misuse payments;
  • bypass platform safety systems.

9. Safety Disclaimer

Users meet and transact at their own risk.

WozaWork strongly recommends:

  • checking references
  • verifying ID
  • using safe meeting arrangements
  • securing valuables
  • supervising initial work engagements

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WozaWork is not liable for:

  • theft
  • fraud
  • misconduct
  • negligence
  • injury
  • death
  • property damage
  • poor workmanship
  • missed appointments
  • payment disputes
  • data loss
  • indirect or consequential loss

arising from interactions between users.

11. Indemnity

Users indemnify WozaWork against claims, losses, damages, legal costs, and disputes arising from:

  • user conduct
  • breach of these terms
  • illegal acts
  • disputes with other users

12. Account Suspension

WozaWork may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts for fraud, abuse, risk, non-payment, or policy breaches.

13. Intellectual Property

All WozaWork branding, software, logos, text, and systems remain WozaWork property.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

15. Updates

WozaWork may amend these terms from time to time. Continued use means acceptance.
